Most plastic modeling projects can be assembled with PLASTI-ZAP and very small amounts of ZIP KICKER. The special formula in PLASTI-ZAP allows it to screen out any mold release agents resulting in a permanent bond in 15 to 30 seconds. The joint can be filed and sanded in a minute or so, allowing extra fast assembly.
Hobby Model Builders: Consider making the cockpit in your RC Aircraft super scale with plastic dials and other accessories. RC Car parts will be bonded perfectly with Plasti-Zap. Model Train parts are easily added to your model with ease using the brush-on applicator.
Helpful Hints: Apply small drops of PLASTI-ZAP to one surface only then mate the parts. For large or long seams apply small drops 1/4 to 1/2 inches apart, one side only, along the entire seam, then join parts. Be careful to keep your fingers away from the glued joints until cured, this glue will bond your skin instantly to your model. For bonding chrome parts, scrape the chrome off of the bonding areas then apply the glue to one side only. If you want to use ZIP KICKER, apply very small amounts with a fine brush or tooth pick. You do not need to apply kicker to the entire joint. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.

PLASTI-ZAP CA
- Medium Viscosity
- Multi purpose formula
- Strong and flexible
- Dries clear
- Ideal for lexan and delrin
Uses: POLY-ZAP is a specialty CA adhesive developed for use on today’s newer plastics such as lexan and delrin. Lexan is one of the more difficult plastics to bond, and POLY-ZAP was developed to solve that problem. POLY-ZAP also works with delrin, polycarbonate, ABS, styrene, nylon, starboard (marine board HDPE) and most acrylics. It works on may types of films and painted surfaces.
Hobby: Poly-Zap is perfect for today’s ARF type models. ABS cowls, canopies, lexan car bodies, fiberglass repair, model boat parts, and automotive trim are just a few of the many applications for POLY-ZAP.
Outdoor: Boat accessories and outdoor displays can be designed with the use of starboard plastic (marine board HDPE). This plastic holds up marine environments such as UV rays, moisture and other outdoor environmental conditions.
Helpful Hints: Apply small drops of POLY-ZAP to one surface only then mate the parts. For large or long seams apply small drops 1/4 to 1/2 inches apart, one side only, along the entire seam, then join parts. Be careful to keep your fingers away from the glued joints until cured, this glue will bond your skin instantly to your model. To prevent fogging of clear parts do not use an accelerator. If you want to use ZIP KICKER, apply very small amounts with a fine brush or tooth pick. You do not need to apply kicker to the entire joint. When repairing fiberglass, spread POLY ZAP evenly over the entire area and let cure. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.

ZAP-A-GAP CA
- Superior Gap Gilling Formula

- Bonds virtually everything even some plastics
- Allows for approximately 7-10 seconds for part positioning
- Average of 20 seconds for curing
- Works on oily surfaces
- Use Zip Kicker to accelerate cure time
- Available in 8 different options
ZAP-A-GAP CA+ Is the best selling instant glue in the world.
The ability to bond virtually anything to anything with consistency unequalled by any other brand makes it the favorite adhesive across many varied disciplines.
Hobby Usages: Widely used throughout the hobby industry, it is the absolute best and most consistent performing glue for model building and crafting. RC Aircraft, cars, boats and trains are all held together with Zap-A-Gap. Aircraft builders trust Zap-A-Gap for all of their spars, ribs, and bonding mounting trays and devises. RC Car bodies and tires stay together down the track with Zap-A-Gap. Wood crafts, jewelry makers and much much more rely on Zap-A-Gap to bond all of their projects for a lifetime of display and usage.
Sporting/Outdoor: From the fly fishing novice to the expert find that Zap-A-Gap is the go to glue to use when tying flies, repairing flies, and working on their equipment. The fisherman find that knots and lure building is done better with Zap-A-Gap. Taxidermists know that their artwork will last a lifetime when created with Zap-A-Gap. Archery enthusiasts trust Zap-A-Gap for fletching and inserts. Bar game equipment such as pool cue tips, darts and bowling ball inserts hold up for many nights with Zap-A-Gap.
Woodworker: Furniture making, cabinet manufacturing, knife making, turning and much more are all made better with Zap-A-Gap. If you are bonding wood to wood, refinishing and repairing antique furniture or needing to bond fabrics, Zap-A-Gap has you covered. Use the Z-End tip or Flexi-Tip to create fillets when needed.
Dental: Articulators, pins, bases and repairing models are all places where Zap-A-Gap shines. The medium viscosity does not run all over the model, while still giving excellent glue penetration in to gypsum models. Plastic articulators can be very difficult to bond, just a couple of drops of Zap-A-Gap will make sure that the model holds up for your client. Pairing the Zap-A-Gap with Zip kicker will move the case along ultra fast for quick turn arounds.
Helpful Hints:
A little goes a long way! More glue doesn’t always mean a stronger joint. Only apply enough glue to evenly coat the area to be bonded when the parts are joined. Many times glue needs to be applied only to one part. Working or positioning time will vary depending on the material. Even though ZAP-A-GAP CA+ is a gap filling formula, some of it will wick into porous materials. For porous products you may have to apply more glue to get the strongest bond, it would be best to try bonding some test pieces to determine the proper amount. For modeling applications where a small fillet is desirable, bond the parts and let the glue set, then go back and create the fillet, use kicker to immediately set the glue. For critical applications test sample joints for the designed strength requirements.
Some common industrial uses include:

SLO-ZAP CA
- Very high viscosity formula
- Super thick and super strong
- Allows part positioning for approximately 30-40 seconds.
- Use Zip Kicker to accelerate cure time
- Available in 2 sizes
SLO-ZAP CA
Slo-Zap is our thick viscosity. The thicker the formula, the slower the cure time, that’s why we call it SLO-ZAP. This liquid has a similar viscosity to general maple syrup. Penetration into porous materials is very minimal. SLO-ZAP is has superior gap filler qualities for imperfect joints. Slo-Zap also offers extra working time for positioning wood parts.
Hobby: In modeling its ideal for laminating wood parts and for those modelers that are looking for some additional working time. Use the Z-End for forming fillets. Because its thick, it will not run or wick into the wood for all types of joints. The high cured strength means it works great on higher stress areas. Use it on fiberglass and fabric to partially fill in the weave and to bond the cloth to the substrate.
WOODWORKING: For older and softer woods Slo-Zap is great for loose joints as it will fill the gap and not over wick into the wood. Wood turners use this product as the final filler when repairing larger cracks. Furniture refinishers use this glue in conjunction with zip kicker to repair loose chair rungs, and mortis and tenon joints. Mold and pattern shops use it to fill in cracks and seams. When dry it produces a very hard surface.
Helpful Hints:
This glue is SLOW but STRONG!! Use it on harder types of wood. For maximum strength let SLO-ZAP cure on its own, best accomplished by providing some light to medium clamping pressure on the pieces to be joined. SLO-ZAP will set up faster when sprayed with kicker, the outside will cure immediately but still allow about 30 seconds to allow the inside to fully cure. To speed the cure time and still have a few seconds of positioning, spray ZIP KICKER on one part, let dry, apply SLO-ZAP to the other, then join the two parts. When fixing furniture joints, separate the parts if possible, treat the tenon or rung with ZIP KICKER, making sure not to get any on the other part, let the kicker dry, put SLO-ZAP in the mating part and join the two together. When using on fiberglass cloth or fabric spread it across the material with an old playing card, business card, or a soft plastic spreader. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.

Helpful Hints:
ZAP GEL has the maximum gap filling formula, it will fill open pockets in porous woods and materials with one application. To speed the cure time ZIP KICKER may be sprayed on the joint after the glue has been applied. When forming a fillet or filling a large gap spray ZIP KICKER directly on the glue, it will start to harden immediately first forming a hard outer shell with the inside curing at a slower rate creating an extremely strong bond. When using on fiberglass cloth or fabric spread it across the material with an old playing card, business card, or a soft plastic spreader. The curing time will vary depending on the thickness of the glue. When spread out thinly it will cure much faster than a thick bead. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.

HELPFUL HINTS: ZAP-O FOAM SAFE CA+ is a gap filling formula, however it will penetrate into porous woods and materials, therefore a couple of applications may be necessary to totally fill in a large gap or crack. To speed the cure time ZIP KICKER may be sprayed on the joint after the glue has been applied. Note: ZIP KICKER is not compatible with foam, so if you want to speed the cure time when gluing another material to a foam piece, treat the part you want to glue to the foam with ZIP KICKER AND LET IT DRY, apply the ZAP-O FOAM SAFE CA+ to the foam, then put the other piece on the foam part, hold the pieces in position for several seconds until the glue has cured. ZAP-O FOAM SAFE CA+ will take longer to cure when gluing foam to foam, tape or pin the pieces together and let cure. When using on fiberglass cloth or fabric spread it across the material with an old playing card, business card, or a soft plastic spreader. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements. Note: ZAP-O FOAM SAFE CA+ is a great alternative to those individuals that have reactions to the fumes given off by regular CA type glues. In rare cases some individuals may still have a reaction to ZAP-O FOAM SAFE CA+. Timothy Montgomery Builds a Model XRZ Type 4
"Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always loved the Model XRZ," says self-proclaimed novice builder Timothy Montgomery. “When the Type 4 came out, I know that I had to go back through all of my older models, and build a new – better – replica."
Tim has been building replicas using his unique mix of balsa and composite materials for years now, and much to his delight, his grandson has recently taken a keen interest in the creative process.
"It's important to me that he understands creativity comes first. It’s the bedrock. The lifeblood of every artistic endeavor. The foundation of every successful project. BUT - having the right tools for the job, that’s also critical. We don’t skimp when it comes to material, tools, or connections. On a project like this, that means using the best bonding agent available – the system that will hold our ideas in place, so that they live a long life without crumbling or failing due to the effects of their environment, or time. That’s why I rely on Zap Systems for all of my projects, and I’ll teach my grandson to do the same."
